Kendallville Public Library Flag Fund

This fund was created by the Dekko Foundation in 1993. The purpose of the fund was to create an endowment that would provide for the Kendallville Public Library branches to maintain the flags, poles, and landscaped areas at each of the facilities. Chet Dekko was very patriotic throughout his life that he wanted to share his love of America with everyone. The Dekko’s continue to be avid library patrons today. When the library moved from Rush Street to its current location at 221 S. Park Avenue, the memorial plaque was relocated as well. This fund continues to support the Kendallville Public Library’s flag, pole, lights and area around the flag pole.
