LIGONIER — The Community Foundation of Noble County is delighted to announce $30,000 in grants to strengthen the innovative early learning program at West Noble Nature Preschool. This substantial funding consists of $15,000 from the G. Martin Kenney Fund and an additional $15,000 from the Community Impact Fund.
West Noble Nature Preschool places a special emphasis on a nature-inspired approach, with a primary focus on child-directed learning during regular school days from Monday to Thursday. It leverages both indoor and outdoor classrooms to provide a well-rounded learning experience. This preschool partnership between the Cole Center Family YMCA and West Noble School Corporation is committed to early learning and vital brain development before the age of five.
This collaborative early learning program at West Noble thrives within the supportive environment of West Noble Primary School, making available both indoor and outdoor learning spaces and offering complimentary transportation between sites. This partnership facilitates additional student services that would otherwise be unavailable.
The YMCA’s early learning opportunity offers families a distinctive choice. It is the sole program in the West Noble community that provides nature-based learning and an all-day school schedule, setting it apart from other offerings that typically provide only partial-day options or function primarily as childcare centers.
