Jazmin Herrera Promoted to Director of Community Engagement and Leadership
The Community Foundation of Noble County is pleased to announce the promotion of Jazmin Herrera to the role of Director of Community Engagement and Leadership. Previously serving as Program Director, Herrera has been instrumental in advancing the foundation’s mission, developing innovative programs, and fostering meaningful connections within the community. In her new role, she will lead initiatives that enhance community engagement, develop leadership, and strengthen strategic partnerships throughout Noble County.
As Director of Community Engagement and Leadership, Herrera will oversee a broad range of programs, including grant management, youth philanthropy, nonprofit training and support, and community convening. Reporting to the Executive Director, she will work closely with community members, organizations, government entities, and donors to create an inclusive environment that inspires active participation and empowers local leaders. Herrera’s leadership will be essential in driving forward the foundation’s strategic goals while enhancing community well-being.

Key responsibilities of Herrera’s role will include:
· Community Engagement: Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to promote active participation and collaboration among diverse community members.
· Grant Program Management: Leading the foundation’s competitive grant programs, supporting local nonprofits, and ensuring fair and effective grantmaking practices.
· Youth Philanthropy: Managing the foundation’s youth philanthropy organization to inspire and mentor young leaders in philanthropy and community service.
· Leadership Development: Designing programs that identify and nurture potential leaders, fostering skills that empower community members.
· Partnership Building: Establishing strategic partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to address community challenges and maximize resources.
Herrera’s achievements as Program Director have paved the way for this well-deserved promotion. Her contributions, including improving the foundation’s grant application process, elevating the Nonprofit Workshop Series, and engaging Hispanic business owners, underscore her commitment to serving the community with integrity and excellence.
