The Community Foundation of Noble County has invested $52,500 in funding to Crossroads United Way to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Noble County, representing a strategic investment strengthens early childhood literacy and access to books for young children and their families.
This investment is part of Lilly Endowment Inc. Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT IX), which represents a strategic, multi-year opportunity for CFNC to strengthen long-term community impact through flexible, locally driven philanthropy.
Through this funding, children from birth to age five will continue to receive high-quality, age-appropriate books delivered directly to their homes each month, helping foster a love of reading and learning from the earliest years. The program supports school readiness, family engagement, and long-term educational success across Noble County.
Investing in early literacy is an investment in the future of Noble County, through GIFT IX, we can support initiatives that give children a strong start and empower families with resources that have a lasting impact.
Originally founded in Dolly Parton’s home state of Tennessee in 1995, the Imagination Library now partners with affiliates in communities around the world, ensuring young children have ready access to books “the most critical years of brain development.” For more information, visit Crossroads United Way at: https://www.crossroadsuw.org/imagination-library
