Donor Story:
Ben was born November 10th, 1993 to Howard and Elaine Murray. He graduated from East Noble High School in 2012. Before his passing, he was a student at IPFW, studying with the goal of working as a math teacher and basketball coach.
He played basketball, football, and cross country at East Noble. For one year, he participated on the archery team and placed fourth in the state and 23rd in the nation. In his free time, he also enjoyed to hunt with a bow or rifle.
Ben was known for his positivity, determination, and congeniality. “He would take a negative situation and make it positive literally just by smiling,” said Vince Beasley, the assistant principal at Wawasee High School at that time. “He was a joy to coach. He was the first to practice and the last to leave”.
