To provide support to those in need.
Donor Fund Story:
This fund was established in 2000 originally as the West Noble Ministerial Association Good Samaritan Fund. In 2013, the name was changed to The New Community Initiatives Fund.
The New Community Initiatives is a “true community effort,” according to the Rev. Joey Nelson of Stone’s Hill Community Church. He stresses that the NCI has its roots in many area churches. Nelson serves as the group’s president.
“We are a group of people from many churches and various organizations,” Nelson said. “We meet once a month and discuss various initiatives that need to happen. It’s a coming together of many churches, and it’s the volunteers from the churches that fuel it and make it happen. The churches provide the leadership and drive.”
