Noble County Chess Fund
To provide support with the intention of teaching chess to all Noble County elementary school children and offering opportunities for participation in chess competitions.
Donor Fund Story:
The Noble County Chess Fund was established in December 1996, by Tom Feichter. Tom was the president of Reclaimers Inc. and a very good friend of Chet Dekko. When Mr. Dekko died Tom wanted to honor his memory and in lieu of flowers created this fund. Mr. Dekko was an entrepreneur, business and community leader, and dedicated family man. He believed in education as the key to an independent, successful life. The Noble County Chess Fund was created to provide support to teach chess to all Noble County elementary school children and offer funds for chess competitions.
