Thomas, Dave & Barb Fund
To provide support to Freedom Academy. Fund shall be to provide support for program development, equipment purchasing, tuition assistance, and assist the organization in training residents in the Northeast Indiana region who are pursuing technical careers, with emphasis placed on studying electricity in their chosen career field.
Dave and Barb Thomas of Avilla, IN, established this endowed fund to provide direct support to the Freedom Academy in Kendallville, IN. Their wish is to support local electricians/technicians. Dave has spent his life working as an electrician and during the last 15 years of his career as a self-employed electrician, Barb (a CPA) did all his book work. Dave and Barb are both retired and continue to live in Noble County and have recently begun spending their winters in Florida. Barb has also served on the Community Foundation Board of Directors!
Freedom Academy uses the annual distributions from this fund to provide support for program development, equipment purchasing, tuition assistance, and assist the organization in training residents in the Northeast Indiana region who are pursuing technical careers. Emphasis is placed on NE Indiana residents studying electricity in their chosen career field.
